He has never turned his back on oldskool, he's never was in to it!!!

He has always played the most upfront house throwing in obscure/ hard to get tunes that he knows will rock the joint...thats all he did then and that all he does now.. (I say all but he's sprinkles magic dust on to it lol)

He's been leading the pack for ni on 16 years. why does he want to go back and play old music!!!

Again, the point i was making was that i don't expect him to play an old skool set, infact i could not gives a rats ass if he does- he should however appreciate where he has come from.

What I mean is he's only ever played upfront music whether that being Italian piano anthems in 91, his crap garage stage in 93, his epic house in 95 or the sh1te he plays now

him dancing his arse off downstairs in the basement of a club in london in 1994 with his missus was smiling and having a great time didn't seem too twattish then

saw him at Bar Atlantis in London on a Sunday night back when Craig Richards and Lee Burridge were starting up Tyrant......they used to do the basement there every Sunday.....there were about 30 people there tops and Sasha was p*ssed at the bar......seemed an ok guy?!

....he turned up about 3 weeks later and played a breakbeat set......it was roadblock central round there......the bar is tiny, get about 50 in there max at a squeeze......don't think its there anymore.....shame....

Lol we are not talking about his ability to shake his ass or get off his kipper here are we. We are chatting about his attitude to old skool- which some might veiw as twattish.

my attitude to old skools the same though, why do something that was done 15 years ago by better dj's than me.

what exactly do you want sasha to do, pray at the altar of osa and beg everyone for their forgiveness for as he had coveted the god of progressive house

Arghhh, Esty i give up. Again, and for the last time I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT WHAT HE PLAYS NOW NOR DO I WANT HIM TO PLAY OLD SKOOL. My point, and even i am sick to fucking death of hearing it, it simply that he should be a little more humble when referring to his roots.

I think the point I would like to make and what I was originally trying to get at was.....Sasha must have loved those tunes he played out in the early 90's, and Im sure that he must occasionally pull out a copy of TNT or CAPPELLA and give it a quick spin....and a little smile must break out as he thinks about those days.

Now surely its human nature to want to recreate that feeling, thats why it suprises me that he has never played a one off never again oldskool set.

Perhaps someone should email his management company on a complete blag and offer him £50,000 to do such a set and see what response you get.

Then we really could establish if he is now a twat just out for the green or if he has a valid reason why going back to those days (musically) is not for him....

Even if he did play an "oldskool set" would anyone be that arsed anyway? Would it be that monumental that people would be on their knees crying in the middle of the dancefloor? More to the point which knob would pay him a fortune to do it anyway, when you could get someone else equally qualified to do a better job?

I dont get you though, what exactly is your point, you have no point what so ever. You sound like my mum trying to justify nothing.
You called him arrogant and a few other things yet you have absolutely no idea whether he is or not.
please explain why he should be humble to his roots.

Not back to the quite frankly daft rule that i can't have an opnion of him until i have net him eh, we have already done that one pages back. Come on Easty, you'e begining to sound like my dad who just moans for the sake of it lol.

Lol i am not trying to justify owt, you're the one chucking a benny cos i called him an arrogant twat. Why should he be humble to his roots? Is common curtesy innit, it also shows those (again as i have already said) who took the time out to support him and put him where he is that he is some way gratefull. Of course he doen't have to, which he is doing, in which case my arrogant twat comment remains unchanged.
