A few words about GT System (pka Tim Godfree):
Back in the early 90s Tim was given a Zone @ Jenks Bar mix-tape and was immediately hooked. Soon afterwards he began collecting vinyl and he has discovered many quality unknown tunes over the years. He also started producing his own tracks using Octamed on the Amiga 500.
Years later as his production skills developed and his love of italo house became an addiction, GT System was born.
Inspired by the works of Raff Todesco, Gianfranco Bortolotti and Wilko – to name but a few – GT System set out to create original tracks which captured that unique and magical sound of 90s italian house music.
So expect lots of catchy vocals, hip-house raps, hands-in-the-air pianos and plenty of trumpets - GT System’s tracks have it all. Tim is delighted for the opportunity to play them at Jenks and we are delighted to have another world first for you Jenksters.

A few words about Josh:
Josh first started playing on the decks from the early age of 11, heavily influenced by his uncle and mentor Danny Dee Hartley. Listening to his collection of tapes and watching him on the decks he learned his craft from Danny.
He thought he had missed his chance to witness the scene as it was back in the day but at the age of 17 he ventured out into club land and saw the current old school scene of today and wanted to be a part of it.
So he started buying vinyl and after a few years practice he put a few mixes together. He has since played at Rejuvenation, Brainstorm and Morecake playing various styles such as warehouse classics, techno, breaks, hip house and piano house.
We are delighted to give such a young talented DJ a spot and we are sure you will enjoy his set.

A few words about the three hour italo house set:
This is something I have always wanted to do and I would like to thank John and Andy for giving me the opportunity to do so.
Expect lots of tunes that I have broken over the last four years, a few unknown gems that will be played together with plenty of Jenks anthems from back in the day.

So, we are back again to relive the music and atmosphere of Jenks. Time to hear all those Jenks Bar anthems that filled the dance floor of the legendary venue and to play tunes that you will not hear anywhere else – guaranteed !
Tickets are £8 and are available on line through Skiddle (plus booking fee and subject to their Terms and Conditions). Please note you do not get a ticket through the post - you bring the card used to purchase the tickets to the venue as proof of ID.
