I've used them before (stupidly, how pale? lol) and had to go on for 3 minutes only as any more would burn and the 3 minutes doesn't do anything! Lol. Fake tan is about the ONLY option for me, but obviously I take care to apply it. Use a fake tan mitt and you won't get any patches or streaks... Exfoliate and moisturise too.
