If some of you were on OSA back in summer 2011 I did an a - z of trips out and posted them on here which was really funny at times. This summer though it's all about old railways on my trips which are every Monday. I have already made a start this summer from Monday 30th June by walking part of a couple of disused railways. Today Monday 7th July I visited the old York to Selby one by walking part of it at Bishopthorpe but there were lots of bicycles whizzing past me at 100mph. Last week was better though when I visited The Hudson Way which is Market Weighton to Beverley by walking up it for 1 and a half miles before turning back. I will be revisiting that one again this summer to walk the full 10 and a half miles where a car will be meeting me at points. This will finish round about the time of Whitby regatta and Bank Holiday Monday at the end of August so until then there are quite a few Mondays to fill up with stuff. This will also include visiting old railways where there are steam trains as well as walking disused ones like The Keighley and Worth Valley. The Hornsea Rail Trail disused one is hard to find though. I will be doing updates throughout July and half of August about this too.
