Paul Taylors Retro invites Joy to host one of the rooms at their monthly event at Mission, Leeds.
Mission is one of Leeds best club venues, set under one of the biggest railway bridges in Leeds and is split into two equal size rooms/arches.

Arch 1 will be Retro featuring Paul Taylor playing a 3 hour set and Tony Walker + residents

Arch 2 will be Joy. Once again we will ensure the music is of the highest standard, do we need to say more??
DJ's on the night will include the man of the moment, Ian Ossia. who is exclusive to Joy and will need no introduction to the more discerning clubber!
Other DJ's are the residents Kells+Tots, DaleTheDisc and the one and only Steve Luigi who has promised to make his set even more awesome than usual.. Its going to be a big one!!

This is a big step for Joy, Retro is one of the biggest club brands in the business and always achieve capacity filled events. In all the many years Retro has been running they have never called upon the help of another promoter. Last year we were their biggest and only true rival in Leeds, obviously they understand we have the Number one classics event in this city and rather than try and fight us as they did last year, they want to work with us.
Its really good for Joy to be involved with such a big name and it can only take us onward and upwards.
This event will take place every second Friday of the month and we will continue as normal at our home, The Corn Exchange, Leeds and our new venue, the Leeds University.

Thanks all for your interest!!!! Much appreciated, this is gonna be a massive step for JOY and i have just found out RETRO are interested in using us at more of their venues which is mad really considering they have never teamed up with anyone!!

We will still be doing our own thing without retro as usual at our own venues. ( Corn Exchange, Leeds, Leeds University & Space Leeds)

I hope you all come to this event and see what Joy is all about. You wont be disappointed...

Next Normal Joy...

Miss C said:
whens the next normal joy event and where is it????

The next normal Joy was going to be 5th March at the corn exchange, might still be but i dont want it to affect the JOY/RETRO thing which is going to be monthly. This means if we do the 5th March we will have the JOY/RETRO on the 11th March which is a bit close. so its something we are still thinking about.

I can say that their is one booked and planned for the 30th April at the Leeds University. What a venue too. 2 rooms of tunes and a capacity of 1500. so far the DJ's booked to play are LuvDup and one of Joys fave's, DJ SY plus their will be many more top name DJ's as usual including resident Ewan Cawood who will be back from the far east.

We are also planning some nights at The Space Leeds where we had our wicked Boxing day special.

And of course more at our home- the best venue in the world!!! The Leeds Corn Exchange.

Just keep an eye on things on here for up to date info or message me.
Or check our web site out which should be finished in next few week.. hopefully!!!!!

Kells.

Yeah its all getting quite crazy at the moment at JOY HQ!, getting so much interest from all over the place. Its always been popular within the Leeds and surrounding areas but it seems more and more people are traveling from further afield.
We have always put huge amounts of effort into all events we organise, we started out doing illegal partys in old mills etc in our home town and they were mental nights, these crazy times paved the way for JOY and to say its still in its first year and we have come so far is quite unbelievable.

Will be good to see more new faces at JOY, really looking forward to this night.
