was only there an hour muchly due to this bein my 3rd night out on the bounce and the largeness of timeless and hazy friday/saturday:fekked:  and easty only gettin out of work late and deciding to make a swift visit over to see if he could get there in time for his set. Nice to meet brad and dale again too:thumbsup: well nice place, but a nightmare to find tho if ya dont know leeds, thank god for sat nav:thumbsup: lol

tunes werent really my bag at all tbh, a bit dark and progressive for my liking although sully played some good stuffphones: & The sound system in the middle bit was spot on, my head was wobblin with the bass at times:thumbsup: loud as fook!!!

would probs have stayed a bit longer if we'd have known sj and the girlies were on there way as we bumped into them on the way out, shame really as all 4 of you would have loved sullys set, dunno if yas caught the last bits of it or not.

drinks were rediculously expensive at 3.50 a bottle,:naughty: so good job i was drivin lol

will try it again sometime when ive not danced my little leggys off all weekend prior and hopefully will stick around for the anthemage later on:thumbsup:

Thanks to all that attended, all 766 of you!! was another wicked night with a really good crowd. only probs we had were no monitor speakers in one of the rooms which made things a little hard, and a sound engineer that had gone awol! i was in a bad mood for a little while so sorry to anyone who got a shoutin off me lol....

Great to see and finally meet the lovely Sj their enjoyin herself with her cool friends. (your all welcome back when ever you want  )

As for been a bit progressive, well all i can say is you must have been in another club. the ethos of joy is to build it up over the course of the night, woody you obviously missed my set and luigis and also paul H who had a belter...the tune were massive!!!!
Next time woody im gonna chain you to the DJ box!!! lol :D

Sully, what can i say. i was on same time ish as you but from what i heard of your set it was just as i wanted, you are a true JOY head and know exactly what to play and when. big respect to you. Many more events like this to come for you my man!!!

Damo, nice one, some very very good tunes, almost perfect...We will have that chat

And cheers to wozza, well done mate, sorry if i came across a little stressfull, was havin a bad time at that point also big shouts to all the usual joy crew, good to see you all out....

next stop, manchester and then love parade...

quality night from the start with the middle room bein hammered from 1030 onwards. biggest crowd in leeds centre on the bank holiday sunday with 700+, even more of an achievment considering most leeds clubs have been quiet recently due to love parade happenin next week.

1st time i've played a full 2hr prime time set (12-2) for a while and loved every minute of it, crowd was well up for the beats and breakz and the sound system literally took your breath away with the crisp bassline. nice sets from warren, damo and paul h in room 2 as well, kept the crowd goin all night.

didnt catch much of the other rooms but the time i was in there they was rockin as well. nice one to brad for pullin this one off.

wound things down at the after party with some dubby stuff and was a wierd feelin dj'in and watchin the sun come up through them massive windows - defo gonna do that again cos it finishes the night off in style. nice to be able to get served a beer as well at 6 in the mornin.......

good to see some osa crew there - sj, ow doo, debs, woody, easty, chris80.......

North in Manchester next Friday the 3rd for some more Joy action featuring DJ Welly and Absolute.........

Was a wicked night and everyone else i was out with agreed too. Didnt think that I would make it as I'd been working at Homelands and didnt get back until about 5 on Sunday night but decided fuck it and went down. Paul H played the best set but tunes in both rooms were really good all night. Liked Sullys set as well but felt there were a little too many breaks remixes of old skool in there, think that they would have been more effective just dropping a couple of them as often the remixes arent as good as the originals but its nice to hear something different. In response to Woody saying the tunes were dark and progressive the Joy/ Ark sound was never as piano happy cheesy as say Life or Maximes but some of the djs on the night (such as Steve Luigi) played a lot of the piano anthems. I think this is a nice mix as piano stuff all night can wear a little thin IMO and to hear all old skool styles makes it enjoyable. Respect to Brad and roll on Love Leeds ;)

I may venture down sometime. What kind of tunerooneys am i expected to here there? Giz a run down of what was played, i get the feeling ur night has a similar feelin to what Park Hall was like (I regular haunt of mine back in the early 90's), ive heard off several peeps its like the park n ark :) Top one chaps :)

 Now…. Onto Part 2 of my bank holiday adventure…. Firstly thanks to Veee and Lozz for your hospitality on Sunday day!! Special thanks to Woody, Mel and Superdan for looking after me all day, where I went from a good state to a lets be sick all day state for no apparent reason… Felt like death warmed up on Sunday… Had about an hours sleep in between dashing to Vee’s lavy and trying to get some Zzzz’s hence to say I felt proper grimm…

However… my babes Debbsdoesdallas had driven all the way up from Leicester town with Sarah to come and spend the weekend and we planned a girly night out… So I dragged my sorry ass out of bed and met up with Ow doo… And a proper girly night out was had by all!! ;)

So a great big MASSIVE Thanks to Kells for your evenings hospitality… Had an absolute belter of an evening!!! After having a mass scrap with Leeds town centre to try and find the place, not that hard when you know how so next time should be a doddle… :)

We arrived fashionably late as per normal… We walked into the middle sector where Sully was giving out Hard!! It were mint!! Proper got us on the floor and kept us there… Then we ventured into the back sector and got down on the dance floor to the end of Kell’s set… some proper quality old skool chooonage was keeping us up… Even tho I felt like a weeble wobble we couldn’t stop dancing… so in the end the Wigan pier wobble dance was all we could manage.. Just could not sit down…

The venue reminded me sooo much of Raindance’s venue underneath Kings Cross in London, just a hell of a lot cleaner with tons of seating area’s… The sound system was the best I’ve heard in a good long while… NICE!!!

Loads to do and keep you entertained, the crowd was well up for it albeit it a little bit random at times, but made for quality viewing on our parts… those that came know what I’m talking about! Lol ;)

Easty & Warren…. Sorry we missed your sets would have loved to have seen you both..

Finally… for those who fancy it but are maybe not too sure… I suggest you give it a go cause you will Enjoy I believe…

Right... First Sully your set was proper avin it. I was chuffed to bits when I knew you were playin an once again you proved me right... i'm loving the break-beat styles at the minute and with the old sully touch... WOW

The club?? Well being a bit of a missioner.. (Hence the million miles I've traveled this weekend) it was ace. Seeing so many archways gave me that cheeky lets go play feeling.

Once I heard Sully's set though we headed into the back room to dance ourselves out.. or until the wobble took over and gave us the chance to people watch.. always a quality way to spend time... specially of your head. The tunes in that back room were absolute quality.. some right feet movers.. :hubba:

Well as it must the night ended and we headed off to the after party... alas the cup of tea was not to be had and an open bar was found instead... 'you'll do!!!' plus some mad ed from London whose legs wouldn't stop moving... oh an another set of sully's this time on a more bouncy feel...

TOP NIGHT TOP WEEKEND..

Bring out the sale of teleporters and i'll be there each weekend... SWEET.. (Oh unless they bring out drink/drug teleporting laws... ohh) :naughty:
