Was chatting to grad last night about this place and last w/e and I just wanted to say a big huge CHEERS to butty for starting this site and keeping it going..:thumbsup:

Also to everyone who comes on here and posts messages, ids tunes - spesh from my descriptions ;) this place wouldnt exixt without you lot :love:

At times it seems like this board is going down hill and people dont post and you can come on here after a few days and there is nothing on here to read...so you dont bother to post...which is daft...but as someone has said before "life sometimes gets in the way" and you havent got the time or the energy to post on here...you just fancy slinking in the background, which I too have done...:rolleyes: but it doesnt matter, cos youre still there "in spirit" ;) but as I have said before a board wouldnt be a board if people didnt post ! ;)

I have also started threads moaning about people not posting...its only cos I sometimes get frustrated..and want this board to be like it used to be...there is no offence meant by that sentence to the newbie peeps on here...but Ive come to realise that whatever happens, time will always move on, and Im really proud of butty for what hes done and what hes doing..:love:

Just going to GT last w/e (for the first time in ages) brought back all the things I love about this place and old skool, it doesnt matter that GT isnt rammed to the rafters...a place is what you make of it..and the people who go there are the best people in the world. Im sure Ben and Mick would love to have it rammed and make a decent profit from it, but Im also sure they dont want it filled with knobheads who dont appreciate the music for what it is and used to be...absolutely amazing !! (Just had to put that in !! ;) )

Ive been going through a bit of a tough time lately..and still am..and coming on here, going to GT and hearing all the amazing tunes keeps me going...and makes me realise what life is really about - friends and enjoying everyday for what it is rough or smooth, the bad times always make the good times better.

When I feel shit I dont listen to old skool cos I find it hard to be sad when I hear it and I like wallowing in my own self pity sometimes !! (well who doesnt !!? ;) ) But grad gave me a lovely night last night of mixing amazing tunes (hes getting good peeps and Im dead proud of him :love: ) and I sat there wanting to cry cos it makes me sooo happy to hear them, be with my baby and think of all the amazing people I have met / will meet from here. No other music can arouse that much emotion IMO.

I apologise for the length of this thread, but I just wanted to get this off my chest (if anyone reads this far !! :crazy: ) I love you all, youre all top as f**k and Im so glad to say that I have met the most cool, top, genuine peeps and Im very happy to call you my friends...:love: :luv: :king: :love: and may there be many more years of this to come...:drum:

Ok soppy sweet has finished now !! ;) ;)

Id just like to know if you lot feel the same or am I just a soppy in love idiot !!?? :rolleyes:

I may be only relatively new to this site but I know exactly what you mean. I too am going through some bad times at the moment but it is so good to know that I have the board to logon to whenever I need cheering up :D .

I haven't met anyone in person yet (I am determined to do that soon) but I already feel as though I have made so many friends. That someone actually replies to a thread or mentions me in one means so much to me. When I receive a PM it makes me smile and feel special even in my darkest moments.

I thought my days of clubbing/old skool were over - how wrong could I have been. I can't imagine life without the tunes we all love so much.

What a top post Sweet, never a truer word spoken, a lot of what you said really hit home with me. I too have gone through a really rough time over the past few months, and you lot have kept me going.

I thought I was way beyond going out to a club and having a really good night out, with top people, listening to the music that I have loved for so long. It's so good to know that you lot exist and still fly the flag for "our" music, and for what the scene used to be like.

M-Jaxx said to me very early on in my posting days (when I was contemplating coming along to Goodtimes) "come on, step back in time, and meet your new family" or something like that, and it's bloody true.

I class loads of you as friends now, n' this forum is the donkey's conkers!. I'm on here on a daily basis, n' I don't see that changing!.

Love ya's all to bitz, How luvved up am I?!!...

Buty could be played my Sarah Michelle Geller - for obvious reasons, inc cos everyone used to think his sig said Buffy....god Im clutching at straws here !!!


Grad could be played by Avids bear (cos he looked like him on the couch the other night, not for reasons youre all probably thinking !! :p :eek: ;) altho......hee hee !) even more straws !!

Absolutely spot on as ever Ms Sensation. I know exactly where your coming from with what youve said and a big :thumbsup: for saying it.

I have met some FANTASTIC top people on here and really appreciate that, we've had some good laughs, great exchanges of wisdom (humourous and serious) and the best is yet to come I am sure.

The best thing is that everyone is genuine, on the level and always willing to have a waffle or help ya when its needed - Just like it was way back. To meet people at GT and see that they are like that for real is a big rarity but wicked.

Thanks to everyone who makes this what it is.

Big respect to Butty for workin away in his garage all oiled up and stuff puttin this site together. Its opened up a new world for me. My nights out have took on a whole new dimension. Dont think Ive met as many people in a short space of time and had such a top laff with em - Nice one! Facking Nice one!

As for the film - I would have to be played by Either Ronnie o Sullivan or Sly Stallone as Ive previously been called.

The role would be a psycotic snooker champion that gets hunted down by police for potting the pink in the rockies
