Sort of on topic, I must admit I was surprised to see a lot of you on here who have kids, readily posting pics up of them, now I know there's nothing wrong with being a proud parent (I'm not, but can appreciate it) Just was a little surprised, but then I don't think a lot of you will share any of the sick sense of humour some people have (myself included) as I frequent a Chris Morris forum/site and I'm sure anyone on there may have taken delight in posting dodgy peado~esque comments (tongue in cheek of course) but as I say, if that had of happened on a forum like this, you'd have been pretty gutted about it.

Worrying, the actual peado's out there who do picture collect from forums and sites though isn't it...

Sorry to get all gloomy there, but I thought I'd mention it, see what you're viewpoints are on it?

you gotta be kiddin right? they collect just normal photo's?.

My mum helps at a school, they are going to ban putting the 'new' term and 'leavers' group photographs in the paper becuase of fears of pedo's. Its getting silly now dont you think?.

Ive already ranted a few times on this topic, so I wont bore anyone with it all again. I dont know what the answer is, but surely this over protective madness like the 'year' school photographs has to stop?.

I never even thought normal pictures of kids would be something the wierdo's collected  :S :|

In response to Blue Jammers comment, i feel that as an individual i would not be happy posting pics of anyone unless it was with full autonomy of that person, and that extends to children. But thats just my humble opinion as thats how i would like to be treated- each to their own and all:)

Lol and i really wouldt want any pics of me being put up unless i had fuly vetted them with a magnifying glass first any way as i look dog ruff on most pics:$ but it because i always have a good time:)

The finger waving smiley's finger is a wee bit too close to the mooning arse for my liking, that's naughty << link NOT WORK SAFE.

Isn't there normally a big gap between them two piglets? I don't know, unless you've had one of the middle-uns hacked off?

You do realise we're turning this into an Amelie & blue jammer chatroom, threads derailed all over the show!

its becuase kids wanna grow up too fast, and in a world where everything is sex obsessed in the media and adverts/programs, with peer pressure to not be the 'last' to have a boyfriend and tall tales about how 'mature' so and so is becuse they know about such and such and did so and so -even though its a load of bull 98% of the time, is why I think it happens this way.

Its getting to the point where a girl ditches her realistic looking baby doll that sucks a dummy and skrikes because she has her own real one to look after! lol. Nah, perhaps not that far, but you know what I mean.

kids are more streetwise, know more about technology and things than thier parents do, are too keen to grow up and play at being adult. Its a shame. Kids seem do be doing what i did when i was a kid, but only five years earlier than I did, just stuff like shopping in a big city with your m8's, bowling unsupervised and stuff. I dunno. Say you set a nanny on your computer to filter certain words or sites, you can guarantee a kid will be able to bypass it somehow without you knowing because they know about this stuff even more than we do.

Its good that they are living life to the full this way in some ways, but a shame in others if you know what I mean :S . I dont even know what I mean! lol. Peeps with kids can anwer this one better than I !! lol.

I think the chatroom thing is purely a source of escape, like a diary, you can pretend to be whatever or whoever you want, stretch your imagination, like most of us did at some point before the internet. I dont think thats necessarily a bad thing, aslong as it doesnt get out of hand.

Big brother is needed, people might scoff at censorship and moderating, but have you heard about the American chatroom suicide?

There was an American guy in a chatroom who took an insane amount of drugs whilst chatting to regulars on there, it was only when his replies started slowing down and not making sense, and he didn't answer his cellphone, *some* of the people in the chatroom became worried.

You're right about kids knowing the technologies better than most of the adults - thats why there are so many angst-ridden teen hackers.

They know on a mIRC channel that if there's a bot running that censors swearing just by mis-spelling certain words or adding characters around the words, they will get through (like c-u-n-t is blocked on this forum)

If that chatroom had been moderated by a human, maybe it wouldn't have gone as far and he'd be still alive...
