Just been to the hairdressers. I normally have it streaked with the cap but this time I had foils. When she had finished it looked ok , but now I am home it's bloody awful, ok my roots got abit out of hand this time :$ but they used the same colour as they have always done. I have added a piccie will you have a look at it and tell me if it looks ginger to you. It doesnt look right though does it  Ta my lovelys

Hi Jo babes

it looks fine to me tbh......but i hear what ya saying!!!!!

this is exactly what has just happened to me the last time i had my foils done.......had more blonde put in and i felt that it looked a little brassy in colour to what i am normally used to!!!

the hairdresser can put a toner on it...only takes 3 minutes and the colour will contain less red and look less brassy permanently.......but as i say...it looks rather nice to me

but if u not happy u not happy ask them to sort it for ya

your ends look like they have had a bit of a hammering with the blond over the years so whan you have highlights it always takes easier on the ends, and also it looks a lot brighter each time you die it because its blond over blond.

As youve said its bin a while since you had ur roots done you will have a lot of regrowth, and sometimes its harder to dye in comparison to the ends and it stands out more, either that or they havnt used enough peroxide, looks like they used 6%, the lowest peroxide level.

Maybe go back and tell em ur not happy and have root highlights maybe using 9 or 12%, they will be alot brighter.

Im probably talking a lot of codshite here but this is what the hairdresser tells me when i had me blond, them days are gone now, only have a ickle bit now.

but to be honest it looks fine to me, coz a lot of people are into the diffrent colour mixed blonds and stuff.

hope this helps hun

it does look a bit brassy, theyve done it in my streaks before, i'd go back if i were you and get them to put a toner on it. the toner will just even out the colour with the rest of your hair n get rid of the brassiness. they should do it for free, seriously its worth it xx

I think it looks fine, there is a slight redness in the colour though, depends on what you wanted really. I have my back/bottom half of my hair dyed Blue black, i also left it quite a while and my roots were around 3 inch's, the black on my blonde roots made it look like it was a very dark blue for a while untill after a few weeks when it settled down, but i was a bit shocked at first! I think dyed hair always looks better after a few days or so!

The colours sound lovely on your hair, different  . I have phoned the hairdressers and said to pop down tommorow and see about putting another toner on it. It just looks strange.

Thanks everyone, maybe I should go back to been brown, I can have it stripped cant I, will have to ask. I am crap when it comes to hair :(

Does'nt look to bad from the picture but i know that it will be more noticable in real life. Like i said chick she's taken the colour throught to the ends making the ends even lighter and your roots darker because you have a build up if colour on the ends and your natual hair where the root area is. She will have to put a ash toner on to neutralise the golden tone in it. Hope you get it sorted:thumbsup: love ya babe:love:
