Someone gimme a laptop a while back its mint (bit old though) Anyhoo it wont connect to the internet but says its connected and when i pull the ethernet cable out it says a its disconnected If its nout to do with a hammer a chisel its out of my league

Please could you help its pissing me right off

Have you tried right clicking the icon that shows you're connected? One of the options is 'repair' which usually works for me when my internet throws a wobbler. I'm not much good with the inner workings of computers but if you don't get it solved I've got a good mate with a computer shop near Quinton. It's Discovery Computers, Court Oak Rd opposite the Court Oak pub run by a sound lad called Justin. Tell him Mick from the 4x4 garage sent you.

Mixster mate I had to phone cable in the end and it was a headscratcher for them.. Cheers though
