Im not one for being a party pooper but IMO . . the idea is good BUT its NEVER EVER gonna happen , no matter what is said . . . . . . For one Bowlers is NEVER gonna be used for another event ever FACT !! , no matter how much you think its possible ( even if you had all the money in the world they still would not let you ) . . . . i Know this for many reasons , one being i have tried to secure the thing myself in the past , as i too wanted to relight the good old days in some way ( this also lead to me holding a hugely successfull LIFE reunion in 2002 @ the cornmill cos i couldnt get bowlers , a venue which as many of the tops ones has now shut down :( . . . . . over 1500 ppl attended this event from all over the country many being the old life crew :) :) I personally dont think I could ever do another event to match that one again as there just isnt the venues available or many of the djs dont play anymore . . ( not the ones id want to make the reunion a proper one anyway . . . ) And another thing that you have to take into consideration and is also fact !! , Old skool house is never and will never be what it was back then . . . . there just isnt the interest in it to ever think about recreating the old days or vibe as you put it , its easy enough nowadays to fill a club with between 200 - 600 old skool lovers ( been doin it for 6 years now with Goodtimes ) , but on a larger scale ie bowlers > its never gonna happen IMO ( only the huge hardcore events can pull crowds like that nowadays . . . . ) if there was a chance , belive me id be doin it or at least tryin :) Good luck to you tho if you do attempt it :)
