No they don't - they do it from time to time but not every day.
But that's not the point anyway - if they don't like it, then leave - There's at least 38 people willing to do it instead.
The gorvernment doesn't have some magic pot of money to give to everyone who's willing to strike.

but who is it that actually saves the lives when the people are saved anyway? i think the nurses are more important. they save more people in a year than firefighters do..... so ner

but nurses have to go to work and deal with abussive patients and work long hours, it's no wonder no1 wants to go into nursing, especially for the money they get!!i know wot u mean though it is a risky job

IMO i think that both the firefighters and nurses both provide an excellent service i dont really think that you can compare their jobs to be honest because they are in two totally different leagues. but when it comes down to it i reckon that we'd be lost without either of em.

its right mate peeps dont always agree on everythink n i think its good to say what ya think ive always said that its fine to have a diffrent opinion and to voice it, what i wont have is peeps dissin others for havin a diffrent opinion which luckily on this board we have all got r heads screwd on enuff to respect each others views and it rarely happens and so its all good
