Ha ha ha! I've heard of this guy, downloaded a couple of his 'songs' from soulseek, they are shite and that page explains exactly what he does. Most tune are just pitched up with an annoyin "DJ Rankin in the mix mutherf*cker" sample over the top
He did a really funny megamix using some free mp3 kinda stuff a bit like Atomix, try and find it on Soulseek its really worth a laugh!

It's a nightmare flashback to what those cunts were blasting out above me at all hours :| :| :|
So this guy is just speeding up people's tunes and putting his name to them this will back fire on him he must know it's not a good thing to be doing but if he was rebuilding the track {remixing it} with his own percussion and riffs etc that would changes things,speeding up a tune and slapping a vocal over it would take like 30 mins so you could make 8 a day!
I have noticed comments on You Tube that some poeple like what he is doing i seen a comment saying {Rankin Is Amazing} so that means there is a generation of people liking what he is doing and i am sure that they will want to do this themselfs on there PC!
Is he earning fame and money from this? man what a mess!
Is this as serious as it looks? as i have never heard of him before TBH!
