For my birthday today along with some other stuff the wife got me 'Tingo Tango - It Is Jazz', 'Doug Lazy - Let It Roll' & 'DJ H feat. Stefy - I Like It'.

The weird part is that she's never been OUT, is a total str8head & wouldn't know a classic tune if it slapped her round the face... (usually calls it thud thud music).

So the reason for the post - thanks to THIS forum, :thumbsup:
she got a few names checked to see I didnt already have 'em and went searching. :D

Here's hoping for Soulmasters & Alpha DY this Xmas :party: llf

same thing happened to me two years ago ....... dont know how the ex found out of some of my wants, but she did and i got 30 odd tunes for crimbo off her including parradice, secchi, massive attack and loads more beuts .........:)

youre onto a winner when yer woman can start fishing out the classics n'all ...... i know bunny girl off here can spy em too and picked up funk machine, fatman and tongue'n'cheek to name a couple for pauly_p whilst sifting the bargain bins ...... good stuff:thumbsup:

Way back in the very late '80,s my step dad amazed me by buying me the "history of house" box set as a birthday present.

He was a delivery driver so I am still unsure if it was just a stroke of luck OR if he put the effort in...

My missus on the other hand always resorted to record vouchers for me - EVEN though I always had wants list handy at xmas ,birhtday ,fathes day etc..

So I am very envious...
