does anyone else think it is way to powerful for the size of the club everytime i go i come out almost death.

went to wigan pier last night for me theres alot more clearer.sometimes in maximes its hard to even hear the vocals.

whats everyone else opinion because i know butty loves that soundsystem in maximes

Been a while since I was last at Maximes but the bass did seem to overpower the rest of the tunes at times!

Worst place I ever went to for sheer volume was the Empire allnighters in morecamb b4 the place burnt down and they rebuilt it! Used to come out of there at 8 on a Sunday morning and my ears were still ringing on the Monday! (Mind you, we were sat in the bass speakers a lot of the time!! :fekked: )

Maximes sound system fekkin' rocks!!! The only time I've had a problem with it was a few years back when Dream Frequency did a PA. It was so loud that the vocal was distorting big time, and I actually had to walk off the dancefloor coz it was hurting my ears and making me dizzy. I mean, it was fekkin painfull! :p

Soz Tim, but I'm gonna disagree! Its loud, but the sound is not up to scratch, I think the sound engineer must be in real life a cherry picker! Coz he doesn't set the sound well, but sayin that, the clubs acoustics is sh*te!!

Now the 'Empire' in Morecambe! that system ROCKED!! Clear mint sound and very LOUD!!

seems to be a mixed view.just making sure its not just my ears.

still cant complain maximes have been putting on some good nights recently so dont let this put people off trying the club out for themselves.

I make a point of not dancing next to the bank of speakers near the dancefloor as the first time i went i danced near them all night and my ears were ringing for days:(

I hate to go to a club where the volume is too low so i suppose you cant complain when you go to Maximes, its banging

;)
