do mc's talking over the tunes you are dancing to bother you or do you like/don't mind them?
personally i don't ... as i like to listen to the music and have reasons for not liking them...(listen to clips lol)
they are from a club in 1992 and the mc in question got ushered out for being poo.....
if i'm ever feeling down... i always play these as they never fail to make me laugh :D (some of you have heared one of these clips)
the clip - bad mc2 is mad...... the mc looked at what i was gonna play next and announced it  :D

p.s. badmc1 contains swearing :D

In general MC's are shite... there really is no need for them!

Only one i can think of that i like is Joe Peng on Sasha Universe June '92.

Tis a difficult one for me this and of course Im going to be biast because of my bro... I love listening to him and he gets the crowd well and truly rocking... and last month he was well and truly missed! I do however agree that in places such as Hazy, there is definatley no need what's so ever.... and of course everybody is entitled to there opionins (Yes Jammer Babes you too! :p )

If there a shit MC and have not got a clue then errrr yeeah they need to get there coat!

S-J x

MC's, i like em if they know what they are doing, but some just seem to repeat the same lines and lyrics over and over and over and over and over again!!!! :|

when i saw mclou at sully's tsunami doo at the font i thought she was well good and looked well relaxed with it to

but then you get the odd random tosser getting all G'd up and gangster'fied :ba: chatting nonsense :naughty:

LOL :D
That mc1 never fails to have me in stiches!!
Make some FAAARKIN NOISE CUMON!! YEE HAH!!

I think MCs would spoil a boss night like Hazy but if you go to, say a hardcore night they sound ok if the MC is good.
Personally I like MCs when its for comical value like in a party or some of the stuff I've heard on PirateRevival.
The best MC stuff I've heard was MJaxx after a two dayer doing a Bangers and Fish set...boss!!! :) :)
I've also been know to do a spot of party MCing after a mad 2 dayer, thank god that was never recorded!! :$ :$

Sorry, I can't stand them.

"Fuckin come on! Let's have it...."

Sounds like their kicking off....

A couple sound alright, like Nics said about MCLou at the Font, as long as they respect the tunes.

People pay to hear the music not a coked up egotisical wanker shouting over every breakdown on a tune. :naughty:

Most MC's are failed DJ's anyways IMO. :D

They mostly serverly pi55 me off, the worst ones are the ones who say absolute crap, repeat the same things 18 times & badly rap when vocals from tunes should be on. One of my most memorable nights in clubland was when a very well known DJ who shall remain nameless got pi55ed off with the mc and launched a bottle at him, mi55ed his head by an inch, he soon shut up….. ;)

In general MC's get a big fat NO NO from me :naughty: I'm there for the tunes n the vibe.... not to hear some gobshite spout inane bollocks over a well executed mix...

Man Parris I'll admit to havin a special place in my heart for - mainly coz of Eclipse memories...

BTW Ploots - pmsl @ them clips.... "10 minutes to the main event" :| How fuckin rude LOL Yeeeeeeee-haw !!!

All the MC's that i've ever seen in the house clubs were shite. They just annoy me.

A hip hop night though.....well that would be different :)

The ones that I've listened to have allways totally destroyed the music for me. And you allways get some complete TIT roamin about the club tryin to MC. I'm like "yeh nice one,a naughty ryme it's good that;) "! Forkoff:mad:

I remember when I was at school and every one wanted to be an MC or a beatboxer, constant ,"yer, Armani, Versace, Moschiny" from one and "t'click, clikatyboowsh click booshy bollucks" from his side Kick. No thanks, It'd be a good start to make sure ALL ya' words ryhme and as for you y'clickatybooshinBastid where some sort of spit guard:dummy: !

Might be down to some bad experiences on my part but MC's get a big fat cheesy NO from me!

Depends what music it's over, i think mc'ing sounds wicked over hardcore & drum n bass, and sometimes it's the mc that makes my night at these kind of events :$

But i don't think it really works over old skool.

If there is an M.C stood on a stage, the entire crowd all face towards them rather than dancing around in all directions. That in itself kills the atmosphere, makes it more like a concert.

MCs - The Definition by Vinyl Animal (TM)

"MC's are like marmite sandwiches, some folk like them, some folk don't. However, if you're throwing a buffet, you'd never make all Marmite sandwiches expecting everyone to like them, you'd maybe make a few for the Marmite lovers, or probably leave them out totally and stick with the old favourites of ham, tuna and cheese. It should be the same with MC's - either have them on a little, or better yet leave them out totally to stop non-MC lovers taking an unexpected and unpleasant bite!"

Personally i dont like Mcs on a whole ( there is only a small handfull of them i actually rate and think do a good job , 3 or 4 i can think off ) . .

It also depends on what night it is and the music being played imo . . .

Take Goodtimes for instance in the years weve been goin , there has nearly always been an mc at are nights ( prolly only 15 or so events there hasnt been one ) and i can safely say that at Our nights the mcs improve the atmosphere . . . as long as the mcin is done right . . many times our nights have been not ruined but the music spoilt by mcin too much . . .

The mcs we ave now tho i think work so well with our stlyle of music and there style of mcin . . MC LOU and MC MADDOX .

both are not ya normal mc ( ie just chat and rap shit all night ) . both have QUALITY singing voices and do there little singing bits in and around tune breaks etc singin bits of vocals from other tunes etc . . . . . . makes all the difference imo :) :) :) plus one being female and other one male it also looks good as well to the crowd ( rather than ya one badboy mc tryin to be summat he not ) lol

nights like Hazy etc , dont need mcs deffinatly . . think it would spoil it :)
