Not sure if anyone has seen this but Ive jut stumbled on this little program @ www.mercora.com . It lets you broadcast your tune collection over the net for free and also tune into thousands of other people doing the same thing. Ive just had a play with it and found a few people playing classic house but no old skool so far 
Ive just registered as OSAdevious and maybe others on here could do the same so it would be easy to search and find some top chewns.(just a suggestion )
The interface is very similar to MSN and has a chat feature built in to it.
Its 100% legal atm as non of the music is available for download , you just hear it like radio. (though im sure you could record it .. ahem
)
The quality seems very good with very few drops in connection.
Im stil playing around with it trying to sus it all out as there isnt a help button.
Also there isnt any spyware installed with it which is nice.
Apparantly the program was written by some ex employees of Mcafee anti virus who wanted a legal way hear a broad range of music not found on commercial radio.
