hope you computer wizzes can help me with this.
I am currently typing out an essay and have it double spaced - no probs there. However, if i hit return to start a new paragraph the space is more like double and a half if you knoW what i mean.. eg instead of
bla bla bla

bla bla bla
it is more like
bla bla bla


bla bla bla
when i check the paragraph settings it is still saying 'double space'
Also when i have indented a quote and done it in single spacing eg
bla bla bla
bla bla bla
when i come to put the source underneath it is reverting to double space again even though in the settings it still says single spacing eg
bla bla bla
bla bla bla

To complicate matters even more once or twice it hasn't done this!!!
HELP!!!

LOL, I'd just type it all out normally, then select all and hit Ctrl+2

Sometimes with problems like this i usually copy and paste it into notepad and then back into word on a new sheet that usually solves it, hope that helps.

Try this...

Select the paragraphs in which you want to change spacing.
On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Indents and Spacing tab.
Under Spacing, enter the spacing you want in the Before or After box. Normaly single..
