Chatting to a mate about great old nights out and we were trying to remember what the night was call that played the more progressive stuff. It was about the time when the DJ had his box enclosed in the corner with some slits to look out of.
Was anyone there or does anyone remember?

Went the ministry a handful of times back then as my mate lived about 1/4 of a mile from it, not sure what the night was called though - can't really remember too much about the place as I was always off my box, it was always very dark and the atmosphere was lost in there....personally I did not like the MOS that much and favoured Club UK in Wandsworth.

Never got to Club UK. The person I was with came a cropper from the very strict searches on the door so we were turned away.

We ended up in the Ministry. Couldn't tell you who was on or recall the date but still got some flyers from around then. Not wrong about it being dark in there tho.

Was it Best of British? The flyers list people like Fabi Paras, Darren Emerson, Al Mackenzie, could be that one :confused: . Only other ones I could find were 'Independance' with Garage DJs on or normal Saturday nighters.

Nice on Mister. Problem resolved. I think I had a few memory problems around this time! It was very dark in there but the sound system was fantastic.

Our friends and I also had some tangles with the Club UK door staff. They had security posted aorund the car park that would search you even before you were at the club door!
The music in the back room at UK was a bit too tough for me where DJ Dag and the likes placed but they did have some great DJ line ups if that was your tipple.
