just wondering f any 1 on ere went to a little club in great harwood in 90 - 92 called MONROES dj's were micky , marc c , scratchy paul, and daryl. it got closed down a few weeks ago you might have read it in the papers. i have not been there since 92 ish because it went abit to messy and the dj's moved on. olice closed it down when they found guns and samuri swords (hence a bit messy, this is my patch lol ) but 90 -92 it was a top club post your favorite club ere . scott

i was only 15 when i first got in there in late 89 (been turned away several times before that) and i think those nights probably made me the old skool saddy i am now!! my missus says i'm stuck in 92 - think she's right.....

bowlers was a good one - warehouse type raves each and every week but the one before that was the 'hippodrome' in middleton, moggy and jay wearden playin the best in hardcore techno and early breakbeat...

90-92 Hippos (Middleton) Seen Prodigy for the first time was amazin (charly/ Pandemonium) Then followed Jay weardon to The Riverside (denton) where he continued his quest with the hippos crew! and a few PA'S from Rhythm Quest (Closer to all your Dreams) also did maybe 1 or 2 sets @ the elephant and suspnder (denton) moggy seem to dissapear roumers was... he went playing abroad? Who remembers the glass bridge.? and if ya did go here does anyone remember the guy with no leggs boping up and down at the steps of the bar soon as you walked in.? he always had a cap on with E-MAN on it.? or was that a t-shirt (cant remember) if this is you! RESPECT! you made my nights when i walked in! (we never spoke but always shook hands)

92-93 Hacketts (Blackpool)
92-93 Sequins (Blackpool) seen shades of rhythm (live) perform (Sweet sensation)
93-95 Life@Bowlers (Manchester) PA's every week best one was.. Dream Frequency.
93-94 ClubKinetic (Stoke on Trent) you'd usually find me in the pool room gouchin and pullin some gurns.
93-94 Angels (Burnley) best night there was.. Joey Beltram
93-94 After Dark (Orbit) Sven Vath had to be the best night there!
93-94 Monroes (Great harwood) was introduced to this club by the mrs ( was living in accrington at the time) bit small but hey! it was always packed! the actual dance floor was like... 8 ft x 8ft if i can remember correctly, i never actually got my membership card thru tho!
94-95 Zone (Blackpool)
95-96 Bowlers again new promoters (hardcore) this time, cant remember the name after a few months the music started to go toy town and became really crap, thats when i ceased Ravin"

The guy on crutches was called chris mate, he came down with the blackley lot - mad place that but had some of the best nights ever in there......

Nice one sully! respect to chris if your out there! i did have some mad nights there, seems strange but... the hippos nights friday and saturday i seem to remember them better than i do anyother clubs i went to :| maybe it was the club to be in! remember the speaker @ the doors just to tease ya!! can you remember who did the warms ups.??

yeah i remember the frank sinatra tunes playin outside just to get you wound up, especially if the club was full and you was stuck outside....

not positive but i think jay and moggy played all night, unless there were any guests playin - pretty sure jay did on the friday anyway.... unless anyone can shoot me down....?!?
