No question about it, I've been wating for it and the waits getting tougher.

ITS GONNA BE LARGE[/SIZE.

If SY's tunes and scratching are half as good as NY then it'll be amazing.

i dont wanna be seen to be takin no sides but im sure a lot of you are not familiar with pete monsoon. so let me tell you both dj are lookin forward to this immensley since there such good mates and ppl in the scene already expect a championship performance. if any one can do more with a cross fader and four fingers than sy , its pete. and hes is revved up. how about a vote to see who starts since we have time to pass. look out for the thread.

sy 'n' monsoon

Thats right my friend, even though monsoon may not have as big a reputation as sy, he is one seriously wicked dj and his scratching, well just as good as sy's if not BETTER!!!.Even though it says "battle of the d.j's" i dont reckon its gunna be like a dmc championship or owt like that.:ba: :ba: :ba:

pete profile

pete has never really been big name although he has made tunes that have been received nationaly, under the names of dreamon ( i tink it was) and now with his own label , that although is obviously modern house, he still does some great remixes of old classics.

his current residency is at the tramshed in halifax, not one of my fave venues, but the do a regular link up with zone that is your best chance to hear old zone tunes on a zone night. and he also works in bradleys (halifaxs vinyl release centre). since i was growin up in the early mid ninieties pete was on almost ever small and big event in our district, most memorably , the alpha s, @ amongst other places halifax civic theatre, other dj i remember from these were steve luigi, cutmaster and scratch
, he also seemed to be the dj every kid in school heard first. he installed his sound on a small area but did it well. tons of tapes have been out over the years creatin a long age range of fans (?)and the tapes are some amongst the best ive heard for variety and skill.

Don't think I've heard either of em, but I do reckon a bit of friendly competition is healthy

End of the day it's the man who pulls it off on the night init ?? Can be best man in the world at summat and still fuk it up on the occasion when it counts :axe:

I mean look at Fred West - built outstanding patios, but never did get that feature in Paving & Patio Weekly :eyes:
