MP3 swapping??

Funny you should say that. This is what make OSA the best site on the net. You simply post a message in the 'wants' section and if someone has copy they will give it you.
No ratio's
No trading.
Just pure and simple helping each other out. Someone gives you an MP3... offer them your list... you don't have 2 but its polite.

I better add that the 'wants' section is supposed to be for people to advertise what vinyl they want. But I think you will be forgiven if you request an mp3... just follow the same rules as you would for a vinyl request.

If someone wants to give you their backup copy to hold for them then the choosen method will be between you both.

I tend to use ICQ (unless I can poach someones server :$ ) but I guess it depends what technology you (and other person, of course) has available to em.
Just my view, but:
Email - wont let fuk all through if one half not got broadband.
ICQ - no probs with big files and ya can share areas of ya disk as 'public'.
MSN - wouldn't piss on it if I had just drunk 20 pints and was DYING for a piss.
AOL - again no probs with big files. Lets you share folders and put permissions on em for specific contact groups.
FTP - go with it if its available (without some tosser sticking quotas on users)
Just my view like m8 I'm sure others will disagree - personal preference a lot of it.
PS. If ya transferring volume don't rule out mr postie
Those guys can transport a few gig on cd anywhere in uk in 24 hours for a few pennies.....
Lololol and postie doesn't refuse to deliver ya parcel if he doesn't like yer firewall settings

LMFAO, Ill have none of that Mr Postie sir, my firewall is staying tightly shut, go deliver your "wares" to the next door neighbours Mrs, Ive heard she uses a public server, so go get nice and proxy with her and have a fiddle with her IP

A good example from the other night... someone wanted a specific file and they logged on and got a few others. They returned the favour by uploading a couple I was after.
If someone wants 650Mb of stuff... I'm more than happy to leave my server running all weekend or I'll send em a CD.
