Another Reason user on the board! :D. Theres a few of us on here I think which attempt to make or recreate piano classics, myself included. Everybody here seems better than me though, bugger. And Ive been doing it patchily for a few years!. The trouble is finding the time, I surf the board here whilst Im doing other stuff that has to be done. Ive got a dual boot compy with Me and 2000 server - I cant get the internet working right on Me, but most of my old fave audio apps dont always install on 2000!. Reason and Cool Edit seem ok though. Im a bit of a Sonar head though and most recently getting mi noggin' round Reasons awesomeness!!. I Cant say Im the most 'creative' person when it comes to music either, its mostly learning other folks's stuff (sort of attemting it anyway) so I dont think I would be a good candidate in that respect. Arranging/EQ/mixing skills are non existant at the minute as I dont know where to start. :). It takes me absolutely ages just to get a bit decent, quater finished tune done........So Gaz may be your man here. You're right about Reason. Its the best all in one thing for making dance music I have ever seen, it sounds fantastic - even before you delve into routing and stuff like that(I havent). I dont know about creating any sound though. Those hardcore ''marzipanny'' (!) gritty synth noises of 91/92 are way beyond my tweaking capabilities. I hear theres another huge release by them which is going to blow us away - whether its a hardware controller or a new package I dont know........... see ya laterz, Sirius.
