Chav-ville Droylsden, innit!
Hi everyone.

I've got 2 PCs at work, one running Win XP Pro, the other running XP Home.

Both seem to have ethernet(?) adaptors - and I would like to network them, mostly so I can access the printers and stuff that are connected to one of them using both PCs.

Am I right in saying I don't need a hub/switch, and that I can just use a cable between the 2?

If so, can someone pls tell me what type of cable I need, and where I can get one from?

Cheers!

Thanks fellas...

I'll prob need a 5 or 6 metre one to stretch between the 2 PCs... hope they do em that long?

Will this also allow me to share the internet connection on the 2nd puter? Even if it's a bit slow, it'd be good for checking e-mail and stuff.

btw skippy, top sig! ;)

I cant help on the cable bit hun but I got the belkin wireless set-up from pc world £50 that included everything the networking card etc. I suppose you could get it cheaper if you looked around. It saves on the cables hanging around and stuff aswell.
