I am after new DJ speakers next year on tripods loud but good sounding also,i love these tripods them speakers look sweet also:

I bought this fold out table: I am changing my setup so it is all mobile so i can move it around if i ever feel like i want to so nothing is locked down

hi mate, i'm no expert but i would say that it's a good idea to go for the best speakers you can afford. i would try to stick with the better manufacturers if you can, kef, bowers and wilkins, monitor audio, mordaunt short, mission etc.

it all depends on what you need the speakers to do, if you want them to power a reasonably sized room then you might need something a bit more powerful than bookshelf speakers, but if all you want to do is monitor the output from the decks then something like this might be ideal:

Kef iQ1 bookshelf speakers in walnut 0637203022319 | eBay

hope that helps, good luck :)

cheers guys

i really am clueless when it comes to the techy side. i thought monitor speakers were the ones for dj'ing but the room is quite big so im even more confused now?!?! is there any point keeping the old ones and having four in the room or is just 2 best?

at the moment iv got normal mission speakers but since gettin a new pioneer mixer my setup seems to be all bass and it is more difficult to hear the new record coming in and as a result mixing seems harder!

studio monitors will, more than likely, only sound pumpin, when they're up loud...cos they don't flatter or compliment the sound with false top and bottom end for listening exuberance...some people may not like that, I prefer to have monitors and hear exactly what is there, loud and clear with plenty of punch.

Nottinghill carnival, 1993, me sitting on a step, propperly mashed off my titolas...to the left of me, we have Dog On a Rope sound system, held together with tape and dreds...to the right of me...Ministry Of Sound..Systim...the sound clash began...and as the crowd grew, the Folk on Rope were lashing more and more stuff to the teetering piles of throbbing speakers, all makes and types, anything to get more!!!...all pumping out for all they were worth...the crowd, all jumping up and down cheering and dancing in this tribal frenzy....then the Ministry Of Sound turned their super mega liquid coolled amp up 1 notch...and blew them all away with quality and clarity...
