Hi all, site was recommended to me by a work collegue.
Little life story about me and my love for the genre - I grew up in Blackpool till i was 12 listening to music remixed for breakdancers Jazz/chicargo/hip-hop etc.... parents go divorced and we moved to Whitehaven in Cumbria where the scene was a little backward to say the least - punk/metal genres played out in joints - I always remember walking round Whitehaven town in my Seigo Tacchini/Adidias clobber and getting the absolute piss taken out of me.... was i bother was i feck to me they were the wiredo's dressed in black clothes with stupid haircuts and tat's and piercings
- the friends i made tried to get me into heavy metal i listened to it but thankfully never got the jist.
Eventually we moved back to Blackpool when i was 15 - every weekend me and my mates went clubbing the time Old Skool genre was at its peak - these are my most mermorbale years so the genre is etched in my heart and soul.
Hope to relive some of these memories listening to the radio stream thanks to all involved.
