where do I start, broke my tibia bone in me right leg on 27th November last year was comin back from a m8's house and took few steps out onto a road which had patches of sheet ice n my right leg jus buckled. Heard two cracks and was jus lying there lookin down at my right leg at an angle.:o I was in middle of road first thing I did was pull myself to kerb in agony and reach for my mobile phoned my dad n had to be lifted to hospital. Had cast on for two weeks but I had an oblique fracture of tibia n fracture had widened so went for operation which is called " IM Nailing" consists of metal rod down thru tibia bone and two pins at bottom n one at top jus below knee. Its been five weeks since op, dont want to rant anymore was wondering has any peeps broke a limb and when did they start weight bearing? I am weight bearing with aid of one crutch but I think I am doin too much ahead of schedule! Had very mixed messages at hospital! Anyone had similar nitemare experience??:S
