no sound from windows media player

every since I attempted to download a tuneid on the fellow site no music comes out of my speakers, Don't know what to do given i'm totally thick with computers, I even tried uploaded the new version version 9 of it and it still doesn't work


what the hell do I need to do.its driving me crazy, can't even get sound out of cd's etc

Might be a sound card problem that mate, have u got any sound at all from your speakers? click on something you know makes a beep an if it doesn't , thats ya prob!

could just be somethin that needs sortin in yer windows volume control thingy (speaker icon in bottom right of ya screen)

volumes all turned up plugged in etc.

just buzzez load if i turn it up, I reckon when I was downloading a sample, Some new music stly programmes downloaded and corrupted my existing windows media player, no idea how to mend it though.

best thing to do is isolate the problem...
you need to know if its wmp thats causing the this, download winamp (or another player) and test a working mp3 in this, then if thats okay you know its wmp thats fekked

if It happens to all your players It must be a codex
or sound card problem.

Try installing your sound card driver again or updating it (Last Resort)

If you don`t know how to find your sound card, these are easy to use:

Then grab the sound card driver from the manufactures homepage

This is just a guess since I don`t know anything about

i've upgraded media player to "10" and still no sound, I think i've corupted the programme but don't have a clue how to mend it.

well if uve tried another media player like winamp and that works, then id just try completely uninstalling windows media player n reinstalling it

Oh my god i've got it fucking working after fucking 3 weeks with no sound and about 20 hours i'm well chuffed, i thought i'd play with the sky blue lead on the back of my computer.


obviously it was connected to the sky blue socket (makes sense don't you think) well i've shuffed it in a green socket and it works WTF



AS YOU CAN TELL I'M ELL CHUFFED AFTER DOWNLOADING LITERALLY TEN PROGS TO TRY AND MEND IT
