Mr Shippo used to be a customer where my other half works, and he sent them a letter (from Strangeways I think) saying he "didn't do it", and that he would see them soon.
Trying to get my hands on that letter...
One of my friends has bought one of Shippo's victims houses (not for morbid reasons - she lives in it), and I pass his surgery at least 4 times a day... Yep, I'm looking forward to the proggy as well...!

P.S. Funny how the media describe him as 'Manchester GP', when he was a GP in Hyde, Cheshire - NOT Manchester.

Tonksi, I reckon it's just the fact the the southern-based media have a generally negative attitute towards Manchester...

I don't think I'm being paranoid here, Max Clifford was on TV a while back, and he was asked something about the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, his response was "Where? What Commonwealth Games?".
Manchester is a grim Northern industrial town, full of pigeon-fancying blokes wearing flat caps, walking their whippetts (and murderous GPs). Yep, that's how many people south of Birmingham still percieve Northern cities.
I could start going on about the Wembley fiasco as well, couldn't I?

i even slept in the very bed where treatment took place howzat for a claim to fame

I think they should leave it a while if they are doing one a documentry is ok but a film too soon.

For people who don't know the area, I can say that all the locations used in the programme (including the surgery) are the REAL places...! :S
