NTL 351000 cabel modem problems???

Has anybody had trouble with their cable modem keep trying to unistall itself.????

Every now and again i get the box up saying that you should stop a device before trying to unistall it and then it leaves the hardware device icon in my sytem tray.I going to try search for a new driver for it but it`s been happening more and more recently.???

I`m running windows 2000 if that helps.

I keep thining it`s the printer cable.I`ve just bought one of those HP 7960 photosmart printers and that has a thing that runs in the system tray as well.A little while after it tried to eject the modem the printer connection was lost as well.They`re both USB connection.

I don`t know if they`re connected but you never.

have you tried not pluging in the printer and uninstalling the drivers for it and see if you still have the same problem ?

At least youll know if it does happen again theres where your problem is and then if it doesnt, then its not that, thats causing the problem

get yaself a network card for a tenner, bung it in, get the ethernet lead ntl left ya in the box with the modem.....probs solved
