Ntl Email Address!!

When i got my broadband connection with NTL....i also got an EMail address...however i cant find it (DOH) and now im not sure how to obtain it.....is there anywhere on the computer system i can look!!!!!

Dont fancy having to ring them up cus they put me on hold for about an hour lol!!!!

simple way, just go on ur outlook email and send a mail 2 either urself on hotmail (if uve got 1) or send one to a mate and get em to tell ya.

If NTL automatically install your email details on ya pc then you may have the settings and the actual email addy in there.

Go to tools - accounts and it should be in there

i did that andy huns and i couldnt see it........ill try doin what nics says and send myself an e mail to my hotmail account and see what happens (doh) im a right bloomin retrobate......lol!!!!

Nah that didnt work either...says i havnt got my accounts set up yet...but god knows how i do that???

When you got your broadband set up, you should have recieved the kit which contains the cd with the apps and drivers- with this should have come with a letter which has your PID and account number on it - your gonna have to have this handy and phone up the broadband help line..:|

If you open outlook & make an account these are the only things you need to know for NTL.

Outgoing mail server is (SMTP) - smtp.ntlworld.com
Incoming mail is (POP) - pop.ntlworld.com
You also need your username & your password (NTL gave you the password on the letter they send) & your username is whatever you specified.
Your email address will be "your user name"@ntlworld.com
e.g. NorthernStar@ntlworld.com

Thats all the info you need to set it up with the outlook wizard thing that starts when you open outlook express, if you have to start it manually its tools/accounts/add from the outlook taskbar.

Thanks peeps.....i have the letter which i rec'd from ntl.....the problem im gonna have is remembering my user name lol...!!!!

Will give it another bash this eve and let you know how i get on!!!!
