Wicked day out in the sun Especially as I had no idea I had a ticket until the morning (early bday pressie from me old man)
MK Rosebowl is a top top ampitheatre styleeee outdoor venue - wicked acoustics
Missed a couple of the support bands but Secret Machine who I never heard before absolutely rocked it - very dancey too - couple of tunes I thought "That would go wicked in a mix" phones: phones:
Zutons on after n were fookin ace espesh the laaaaavelry saxophonist w00t w00t !
Made me way down the front & while waitin for Oasis to come on was treated to entertainment in the form of a mad fight LOL :| Mad surge forward & looked behind to see a big openin formed in the moshpit were 2 blokes were chuckin hay makers at each other... they got seperated but then a lass from one of the groups started twatting this lad from the other group... she battered him proper, then he pushed her away & suddenly 5 lads from her group steamed into him :| :|
After the bloodshed had died down...... lol - Oasis were absolutely rockin Openin tune was Turn up the sun & I got right down the front to the mosh pit & the crowd went spastic Straight into Layla, Rock & Roll Star etc etc
I've missed a good ole mosh since me Indie/Punk days & the best thing is that everyone thinks I'm an easy target coz of me height... they don't realise the power of a low centre of gravity I'm goin nowhere me, sunshine & the bigger they come the harder they fall Was a birrova bastard coz I've lost some weight recently & me shorts kept fallin round me ankles so I'm there tryin to hoist em back up with one hand while pushin peeps offa me with the other LOL
Highlights were Little by Little Champagne Supernova , encored with Don't look back in anger & finished off a crackin night with a cover of My Generation
1st time I've seen the Manc tarts & would deffo go n see em again
