Or is everyone preggers/having babies/getting married/mortgaged up to the hilt/etc etc and all of these other grown up things????

It's so weird. I'm coming up to my 27th birthday, and everyone around me is doing all of these things. It's so weird, I'm just in uni (2nd year)...still with my fella after we moved out of living together (I just don't feel ready for that). It's made it better though...I'm just feeling weird that others around me my age are 'playing house'...it doesn't feel real!!! Don't get me wrong, I'm not 'trying' to be younger (fuck that)...I do want these things one day - not now though. It's just weird...is it ever right?

Having said that, watching 'one born every minute' does make me have a 1% of me feel like sacking off my degree n getting up the duff...(don't worry Im not gonna)...but mother nature keeps prodding me every now and again.

I STILL FEEL 12...I WANNA CLIMB TREES N PLAY IN THE WOODS N STUFF. lol

Hun im 38 in April and ive only just settled down to live with my loved one :$

Never been married have no children i think thats down to being very independant  never felt ready and even now the thought of it scares the shit out of me lol :$

I remember how terrified i was signing my life away to a mortgage at the age of 29 - ive always lived with the girls or been on the move here and there and never tied myself down to one spot before, but i came into a little bit of money which was enough for a deposit so rather than blast it i thought the sensible thing to do was put the money to good use and get myself a house.

Glad i did even through all the blood sweat and tears of having to rip the place apart - im still not finished, the bathroom is being started on thurs which is really the last room that needs to be done lol 8 yrs later :$

Deb an Alex are the best thing that's happened to each other imho, they are just "right" together.

I've tried to get Barrie preggers many a time but he just uses the morning after pill....

Whilst I still love to climb trees(and sky scrapers), and can't deny I have been in love before. There has been absolutely no-one like Sarah before . Now I feel like I'm in a relationship where we are going somewhere good all the time, not just being in love; if that makes sense?

PS Debs and Alex are a great match

im 34 this year and moved in with my other half 18 month ago and got a mortgage last year......i was never ready to settle down when i was younger or pop sprogs out like they are going out of fashion.

a few years agi we were all out nearly every weekend GT timeless hazys etc but the noghts out are few n far between every other month or so so i guess weve got no option but to start to grow up and think of the future, houses, families etc.

if and when the bambinos decide to come along i dont mind, im all settled now with good plans for the future

We still try to get out every Saturday, even if its only to weatherspoons.
I reckon staying in and losing social contacts is the death knell of relationships, yer need to get out wi ya mukkers every know and again..

Totally agree with ya Davey Wavey - me n al have been popping down the road to the local if only for a couple of hours and a few games of pool or darts, always feel like weve been out and about and done something together!

Always a good crack catching up with the usual suspects too, had such a good laugh last wk end

My dads mate who's a builder has never had a mortgage, he lives in a caravan in his parents garden, is happy as larry and has a Russian girlfriend. So despite building houses has never lived in one, and the whole long distance relationship seems to work for him.

Horses for courses I guess, he's 40-odd and eccentric, but a really nice guy.

Heh. I bought my first house at 23 continued up the ladder with the fella who I met a few years later. Was with him for 11 years. Split up a few years back & ended up back at square one.

I kinda thought I'd f00ked up big time, til I met Jim & now am starting all over again. It's miles better this time!

The truth is, it wil happen when it happens & what is for you will never go past you.

Big Love. Emz. :D

mortgage free and kid free! quite happy with both.:D
did have a mortgage...but being tied to a job you dislike, and the worry of losing the house if the work runs short was not for us.:( so we sold up.
never been one for having kids, and seeing my friends do it just confirmed what i already thought. i like to be more spontaneous than kids allow for.
but i have been with dave since i was 18, and i'm now 34!;)
you just do what feels right for you chick, you (probably) don't get another chance...as long as you are enjoying your life, it really doesn't matter what anyone else is doing. x:love:
