Hi everyone
After a bit of recovery time after the last OSA do in September, we’ve had a great response from everyone who attended, and quite a few requests for another night which is great to hear.
We had a brilliant evening and it was amazing to see so many friends both old and new.

So here we go again – It’s official ! ! !

The venue is booked and we’re ready to roll on Saturday 1st April 2023 back at the Zombie Shack in Manchester.

If its not broke, don’t fix it eh?

So like September this is a private event.
Tickets are limited and by recommendation, request or invite only - We want this to be another no fuss, rock solid night.
There are no skiddle or public sales etc - just direct from our OSA ticket team via paypal friends and family.
The team will privately let you know where to send payment.

Please ensure that anyone you invite or recommend is on the same page about the vibe we want and expect.
For this reason, tickets are not transferrable unless agreed with one of the team in advance.
We expect this to sell out again so don’t hang about if you want in . . .

We have stuck with a tidy mix of OSA DJ’s both past and present who represent various styles and experience that really defines OSA.
Full details will be released along with the main flyer very soon, but trust us - you won’t be disappointed.

Hi all,
So here we have it – The line-up for the OSA April Fools Party
As promised another fantastic mix of OSA DJ’s past and present, both regular and slightly irregular

You may notice that this is also my 50th Birthday week, so I’ve been pestered into playing . . . grrrrr
I’ll make it as short and pain free as possible for you all

As for the rest of the line up – An absolute mega-fest of OSA experience and styles, and I personally cannot wait.
Tickets are available now, and are selling fast since announcing 3 days ago. close to 2/3rds are already allocated. This is not a bluff or an April Fools trick
If you intend coming I suggest you get your skates on. For those that came last time, you will know that the venue is not massive but a perfect size for our private party. Tickets are limited to the venue size so once they are gone – that’s it!

We’ve gone all high tech and digital this time, so tickets will be emailed or messaged to your favourite app, or dropped on to a message on site. Check us out

A super big shout out to Sarah-Jayne for chasing you all down for tickets, & we make no apologies

I'm hoping we can have another super crackin' night like last September which was great fun!
For those that are sharing the night with us for the first time, we hope you have a cracking night.
Everyone who has tickets will know someone. There are no strangers in our events so we can keep a rock solid environment and vibe for everyone to enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO TICKET SALES ON THE DOOR.
Entry is from 8pm - 10pm ONLY.
Please make sure you and your people are aware. S-J, and the team will be sending messages out to make sure everyones on the same page

Its not too late to grab the very last few tickets, but ticket sales will close on Friday evening.
We have lots to do and prep on Saturday so please dont add to our to-do list

Pre meet is in the bar downstairs, the Thirsty Scholar from 7pm.
They do have a door policy downstairs, but I've had a chat and they can accomodate us for an hour, so thank you to The Thirsty Scholar team.
Please note for the downstairs pre-bar:
NO FOOTBALL COLOURS.
Please make sure you have your e-tickets available for either the bre-bar or the door on entry, where you will be issued with a wristband.
If you need another copy of your ticket(s) sending over, please do it before Friday 8pm

Ive been pondering and trying to build up the energy and the words to say thank you to everyone for Saturday night.
OSA is its own beast, and the marketplace is saturated with oldskool events week in week out all year round.
This is great to see, however OSA has a special place for me, and for many of you out there.

It was, and still is a community that is also open and welcoming to like minded people, old friends and new aquaintances, and still has live chat & dj's on the website every week. If you haven't already, get yourself signed up and join us in the chat

For all the newcomers to OSA, the website is what we base our events on, and why every DJ who plays at the events are OSA DJ's, both past & present, and keeps it just that little bit more personal.

Sets are a little bit shorter than the average gig, but that gives everyone time to enjoy the party, and keep the variety flowing.
There was definitely a great buzz and atmosphere in there on Saturday - it was immense, so thank you all for turning up from literally all over the UK & being part of it.

Thank you once again to all the DJ's - as expected you nailed it, and the crowd were right behind you every step of the way.
Joker Jen - Thank you once again for your support in being ticket master, and bouncer!

Your help is very much appreciated.
SJ - You're relentless energy - 2nd to none. amazing work with organising, shouting, pestering, fookin voice messaging

! All of it keeps the wheels on the bus and the people in the door - Thank you very much for everything you do for OSA.
Butty - Nice one bro for building this oldskool cult. I bet you didnt think you would still be paying server fees 25 years later . . .

shame you couldnt be with us on Saturday, and Sambucccacccaaaccaaaaa sales were through the floor - There was an early profits warning issued when you mentioned you had the nnananana-nineteen lurgi. Get well soon.

Now the Oldi shenannigans - I did ask SJ not to do anything. I didnt want to embarrass myself again and look all stupid on stage. Well as you know, she takes no notice of anyone and does what she wants, so yet again I was forced to stand on stage looking all stupid trying to do a millennial heart shape thing, which ended up looking like I was showing you how big my easter egg was or something, then ended up bowing with my hands together like a samurai lol . .
But Seriously, THANK YOU ALL for the cards, the presents, the dosh, and most of all the love & the cake - I am blown away by your support guys.

OSA!!! OSA!!!! Long Live OSA!!!!

I’m so grateful to be able to say that the Dreeeem Team of Old Skool Anthems (OSA) & our Sounds of The Mix City Struck again this weekend!

Billy Rave you are an absolute champion and a joy to work with which I think proved to all again on Saturday night! We couldn’t have danced like we did without your love and care for OSA!

A huge Super shout to Jen Holt for being an amazing support and official greeter at the door with bands and tickets! You made Saturday night so much easier for us xx thank you x

These OSA nights I will say out loud are going to be legendary… Why?? Because of you the people that come with your hearts and souls and share the passion for being able to dance freely to some of the best DJ’s and music in the world!

The music on Saturday, well each and every single one of you tore that flipping roof off… Every set was different and just as brilliant as the previous one! There was something special from each and every single one of you that played for us and my heart loves you all! A massive than you to all our DJ's that played for us Billy Rave Paul Verrechia Ste Huxley Chris Pearson Neil Cano Hernandez Tony Jay Dave Jackson Jack G & Sonic... All of you so amazing!!

My legs ache and my knees hurt today which is a sign of a proper good night!!

All of you that came to play out with us… Thank you! It felt just perfect and my heart is full up to the top with so much love and respect for you all!

Finally got round to stick my two penneth in.....pardon my french but I truly enjoy every second of these events. Both have been Bob on. Tunes, folk, atmosphere all second to none. I've been to a few events in my time and these events make me feel like i did when I first started going out.

Huge thanks to all involved putting these events together I truly appreciate you for doing this.
