Anyone fancy contributing to making a program. Like a little project, it could be a free download when you register as a oldskool member! also help people listen to their tune after its id'd. I would say most of you have used kazaa or audiogalaxy. Why not make a oldskool anthemz file sharing network of its own. i am doing a programming course and could supply some of the programming.

Just an idea.

Put ure hedz togetha:mad:

Get yourselves on soulseek with the rest of us, in the OLDSKOOL 88 94 room.

I know it's not the greatest program but there's loads on there and if you don't want to share with everyone you can set up a users list to share with. I reckon this is an easier solution than writing a whole new program

www.slsk.org to download the proggy by the way

before i start putting mounds of effort into doing the coding for the program am i allowed to do this. Does anyone have any objections to having a file sharing network program for oldskool mp3's.

anyone have any ideas of clubs or record shops which sell the tunes which i could put as links like on kazaa

lmfao @ mikes signature that episode of partridge is class.

it would be illegal mate for me to have a mp3 file sharing program on my servers and call it the site name - if u want to make 1 urself mate and the users on the board want to use it then obviously theres nowt i can do about it and so that wud b fine just as far as making 1 for the site it isnt worth risking getting the whole site shut down for the benefit of the mp3 collectors

but by all means if u do make 1 then let people on here know as im sure people will b mad for takin part

Well,I'm glad the Soulseek idea is finally catching on..Jamie,thats a good idea and all, but, its allready been done with slsk.Mind you,it looks to be in jeopardy also, with the volume of users,to the need for servers..So I suggest we hoy each other and create a main OS user list,i've added those I come across...,its a great concept, but getting busy,so get in there. :drum:

i have been having probs when i have been using soulseek!

my computer just restarts by itself when it feels like it.

if this is you then i have the solution.

right click my computer> click properties> click the advanced tab >
look down the box where it says on system failure uncheck the box that says manually restart.

hope this helps.

i am just chuffed i started a worth while post...lol let me be :D
