Hi all,

I am after a track (or to hear it at least to see if it as good as i remember) by Pop Will Eat Itself. Its from around 90, and its called Cicciolina. It is a partic mix i am after, and i can rule out the 'touched by the hand of...' if that helps. The one i am after is a little more spacey sounding.

Cheers.

:)

iv got it on a compilation album called "unbeleivable" all indie and madchester tunes, if thats any help amelie

No, thanks though- i am quite clear on what it is i am after, just don't know the name of the little bastard. Probs going to be wank anyway when i hear it again. I have a history of remembering things sounding ace then when i get my mitts on them they are average (nostalgia eh). Its just one that i remember really liking, but as i said it was a very partic mix.

Thanks again though

Cheers, i will try and get on msn and perhaps you could send them me? I would love to find the mix that used to get me so exited.

I agree that PWEI were indeed a fine band, didn't one of them go on to be BRA? I am almost certain on this.

did you know the song was actually about a blonde italian porn actress that was actually a serious politican at the same time. Saw some interesting 'art' pics of her with a transparent dildo once. About as arty as '9 songs'

Yeah i knew this, she is on the cover too. She is sort of a really filthy looking lola of eurotrash yet with normal sized breats. She really did look nasty.

I dunno what '9 songs' is, but i saw some apparant art in the papaer the other week, it was an article on contemp art that was lost in the Saatchi. Basically it was a table with something like two fried eggs and a kebab, it was supposed to be female. It was imo pretty shit.

I saw them at the Brixton Acacdemy in 1990 - they rocked it :D

Used to love those RSW mixes - they were kinda mad dubby things (kinda like the ones they did for Inspiral Carpets)

One of them did go into Bentley's Rhythm Ace

Around the time I saw them at the Manchester International 2, quality gig that was  Beaver Patrol is one of the finest songs ever produced, I might even get it played if I get married  Ive heard rumours they are reforming :)

The one big memory I have from that gig was some grebo getting on his mates shoulders, somersaulting onto the stage and gobbing all over the female lead vocalist from the support band "Korova Milk Bar"..

They were rubbish though :D

Before the support bands came on the DJ was knocking out stuff like Acid Rock and Dirty Minds "The Killer".. A lot of gigs were like that then, I saw the Inspirals at the Ritz around Feb 90 and Olimpia - "You Want My Love" got everyone bouncing on that daft dancefloor

Apologies Amelie, I had a quick look last night and I cant find it :$

I remember them - Clockwork Orange reference

This gig was my only experience of a "mosh pit" in my life - I could not believe the folk in there bashing other  .... I thought it was the Third Summer Of Love LOL

They pretty much were doin'it from tape with added guitars - the drummer and the bloke with the hair (Clint??) were out front on vocals pacing the stage like they were the white Public Enemy

Sorry only just spotted this bit, thankyou, i would love a copy. Any chance of swapping it for that copy of Qwords that i got Jonno last year? I am sure he wouldn't mind ;) , or notice it missing for that matter.
