promoters who pay towards the upkeep of the forum in the way of cash money will now be able to get there events and event chat 'noted' at the top of the forum for more exposure of there nights. with the forum getting busier and busier all the time we are needing to upgrade the osa servers, which in turn is costing lots of money. there will only be limited spaces for these and will be awarded to the promoters who offer the most money to 'notes' an event.

this forum makes money for every promoter out there wether it be in the way of getting people to there event. raising the profile of the event or rasing the profile of the promoters night name. so the result is in some way be it in a little way or big way a promoter benefits from the forum. and like in everything in life you dont get owt for nowt. and i got bills to pay.

I reckon you should extend this to beyond just event promoters m8!

Set up a paypal donations account - which won't cost you owt and then all you need to do is add a button and a few lines of html into the boards template!

That way anyone can chip in towards the cost of running the site and as an extra incentive for event promoters you could put up a banner ad for the event whose promoter has donated the most as well as pinning the events of any promoter who has donated.

I've got no problem with the idea of chipping in a couple of quid every month and I bet there's a fair few others on here who would agree with me!

(I set one of these up for a site I did a couple of months back so give me a shout if you want a hand with it ;) )

promoters and vinyl sellers make money from the site and the people that visit it so i wud rather just take wonga off them than off members who dont make cash out of us being here.

its summet im gonna look into at new year paypal but got a few ideas in the pipeline. things r working good tho at the mo moneys flowing in to keep the board running off promoters who r paying for banner ad's and such like.

I have got no problem with paying the money even though no one of here is coming to my night lol. If it helps to keep this site up and running then it's well worth it as we would all be fecked without it. What would you do if you did'nt have osa?

but the members are only a small percentage of the visitors who come to the site and it just helps to get word out about a night. im sure every night would be less well known if they werent posted on the forum. word gets about and that dunt it.

i know what id do if i didnt have osa - id prolly have a normal job - and that just doesnt bear thinkin about :phones:
