Got a problem with my pc,its a acer aspire m1610 that runs off vista.When i turn it on it starts to configure updates to 100% then a box appears saying start up repair needs to fix it,it runs the scan and restarts but goes to configuring updates and does the same procedure again,if n e 1 can help i would b very grateful.

hello postie have you installed anything new latley on the pc and have you tried safe mode on start up.
Not having vista im not that clued up on the start up repair thing sounds like its missing a few files on start up so its trying to fix either a registry change because you have installed somit new or maybe the comp has shut down ie switched off too quick without closing proper or somit else anyway id try pressing f8 on start up and scrolling to either safe mode or last known config that worked see how you get on there let us know how you get on
