Okay it is not old skool so cannot post in the events section but some peeps on here may be interested.

Having been all consumed by old skool house for the last few years it is now time to go back to my soul roots and combine it with my love of house music.

I am pleased to announce my latest venture in club land. A blend of quality new and classic uplifting, vocal, soulful, funky, disco house with resident DJs: Barrie Jay: Danny Newbold :Lee Birch (plus guests)

Peachy @ Buzz - launch night 25 August 2012

Danny has always had a passion for house music after listening and collecting from a young age. He started to dj in 1998 playing at local house parties and pubs. By 2001 he was playing many guest slots in bars and clubs around the north-west.

In 2002 Danny landed his first residency at Base Bar in his hometown of Preston. The bar at the time was the official GREEN pre-bar and one of the most desirable spots in town.

In 2004 Danny finally made the transition from the GREEN pre-bar to the club itself. He made regular appearances while still retaining his Base residency.

In March of 2005 Danny left Base Bar to become a GREEN resident and continued to make many other guest appearances in and around the north west.

Danny is known for having good taste in music and you can expect to hear top quality house music with uplifting vocals from him.

Making up the trio of resident DJs is Lee Birch.

Lee got his first ever residency at Zone at their Stompin Stilton nights after winning ‘Breaking New Talent’ in Eternity Magazine

In 2004 Lee moved to Torreveija, Spain and took up a weekly residency at the Funky Buddha playing the style of house he is now accustomed to - soulful and funky. I played there as a guest on a number of occasions.

In addition Lee began a two year residency at Pacha at their ‘Espuma foam parties’ also in Torreveija playing weekly in front of a crowd of over 2000.

Lee continued to guest in and around the Costa Blanca area and after two and half years returned to the UK.

In 2007 Lee started a new night alongside myself at Bar Red in Blackpool called Delite this saw both Dj’s sticking to their roots with a soulful house theme.

Lee has a passion for soulful house and has spent many years honing his style. You can expect to hear smooth soulful vocals and rhythm and beats to groove to.

We will post some DJ mix sets on Facebook to give you a flavour of what you may expect.

We are keen to give other DJs a guest slot (vinyl and CD only - no laptops or MP3s, sorry) so if you are up for it pop in and drop a CD off (tracked preferably). I promise I will listen to every one and if I believe your style and capability suit ours you will get a paid guest slot. Do not send me links to download any (unless you live too far away) – if you want to guest at our night you should come and listen to what we do first and also show your support. It works both ways.

My Jenks DJ buddies will also be making frequent guest appearances so you will hear a different side to them.

This is my first residency in Blackpool for many years and I hope to see friends old and new and turn Peachy into what I hope will be a welcome addition to Blackpool`s nightlife. I believe the town sure needs it.
