Why o why is it every time I build a PC for someone or upgrade the OS the only bloody device that never seems to be found by windows XP is a dial up modem. Even with SP2 loaded the OS doesn't have a generic driver to get the device working or doesn't want to know. All I get in control panel is "Simple PCI communications device" with the little yellow question mark. Is there a trick to force a generic driver to run a modem, if so which one do you recommend? I dont want to have to keep installing sisoft sandra on these bar stewards all the time to find out the make/model of modem if poss. I bet theres a piss simple solution to this... Thanks again in advance, Andy
