Photoshop type help.

Can someone that can work Photoshop please help me out.

The image below, I just want the dj bloke image cut out from the black background, so I'm just left with the dj bloke pic itself with no backgound...if ya get me drift.

I know its somat to do with that lassoo tool, but 5 mins of Photoshop just makes me wanna throw the whole PC out the window.

Can someone either explain it in a simple way, or better still if ya bored ya could always do it for me!

Cheers mate, but thats got a white background.

I'm just after the dj image cut round the edge so the actual image is the shape of the dj bloke with no background at all.

So say your piccy there minus all the white bit.

I'm assuming retro used the Magic Wand to select the white and then deselected any white outside of the background. Thats the way I would have done it anyhoots but I'm not a GFX god.

magic wands what ya need but if the defining line between the background and the image is not brilliant the results arent then you need to manually erase stuff and use your blurring tools...

i've made many a decent flyer using these tools.

never tried the wand thing, i usually magnet lasso round the image then copy and paste it onto another page (still in photoshop) but the page is in transparent mode (lots of grey and white little squares). Or once you've used the lasoo, go to the layers menu in the bottom right corner and delete the background layer.....

Sorry debs i meant to confirm wat i had done. Basically like fuggy said i used the wand. I clicked on it on the bit i wanted to get rid and it puts a marque round the whole image, i then selected select inverse and it grabbed the dj. You have to mess about with a few settings to make sure it grans wat ya want but its not that hard.
