please help-record sticking on breaks

hello

i have just bought lee foss u got me ep. one of the tracks has 2 breaks in it where there is no beat however once it gets to the end of each of these the needle jumps and cant get pas the break. is this is a common fault on this record and what can I do about it?

1st step is to clean the record. Then wind the record backwards over where it jumps and see if that clears it - if it is shite suck in the groove it may well dig it out or if its a minor scratch it may sort it.

If this doesn`t cure it check the vinyl for a visible scratch - if there is one then it is likely beyond repair.
