pop ups

whats the quick way of stopping ads and pop ups again? (my firewall ain`t blocking them anymore since all my drivers went berzerk).
tools, internet options.. summat ???

control panel , performance , administrative tools , double click services, find messenger. double click it.... then start up type......disable

no more grey pop ups ever
