I've bought hundreds of records on Discogs and I think there's only been one time I haven't received them (although that might have been an ebay purchase thinking about it). Recently i've had an order cancelled as the seller couldn't find all the records I wanted, but that seller still sent me one of the records he could find at zero expense to myself, even though I insisted there was no need as I could understand his predicament

So this is a bit of a surprise to be left in limbo not knowing the status of an order.

The seller in question is tunes4u

Ordered records 21st Feb
Seller acknowledge i'd paid on the 23rd Feb
I sent a message asking for the status of my order on 5th March (no answer)
I asked again on the 8th March and i'm still awaiting a reply

He does state in his terms that he only posts once or twice a week so asks us to be patient, but i'd have received these records by now if that were the case. It's more disappointing really as the seller has great feedback - 99.9% positive from 5408 sales replies, so it does make me wonder if maybe he hasn't replied for some genuine reason, such as illness, or a tragedy in the family. It's just the not knowing and being out of pocket as it stands, so i'd suggest not ordering from him until I hear back from him.

Hi jiglo, i have ordered from Tunes4u once before. It took over 3 weeks to recieve my records! The records were fine and at good prices too. However its a long time to wait. Yes it does say to be patient on his page. But you would expect better service from such a high rated seller. Also the seller says -'When sending paypal payments if you do not put a note mentioning the discogs order number it will severely delay your item being processed as we deal sometimes with a high volume of orders'. I followed all instructions but it still took an age for records to arrive. Im sure they will turn up soon for you hopefully . . .

I would send another message with the paypal unique transaction code in it, just incase the invoice slipped by, it can happen dependng on which link you follow to pay for your order...it's just a polite and efficient way of offering up the right information prior to bubbling him up to the man..lol

I've probably used him before myself as he's one of those sellers that usually has a few of the tunes i'm looking for. 3 weeks wait is a long time though, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me, although it should say that in the terms if that's the case.

Also, he's already taken my money, so he should know i've paid as he's acknowledged that already. He can link my order to the discogs ID number in the Discogs messages, if he checks in on them.

As I said, it's just about knowing what the problem is here. I quick courtesy reply can make all the difference and you'd expect that from a bigger seller with a good rep  The only conclusions then is something's gone wrong

over there
Just had a look at my discogs and I have quite a big order off him last May and it looks like it took 10 days to arrive . Looking at the messages he booked a courier to send them with and he also bunged an extra 30 records in the box on top of the 30 I'd ordered. There was some shit but quite a few good ones too :)

Update....

It was a personal matter, so completely understandable:$

He seems a very decent chap and all will be resolved shortly as the records have already been posted.

Not a dodgy seller then:thumbsup:
