I've been into downtempo and ambient stuff for as long as i can remember, but its usually 90s and later like most other electronica i'm into. Occasionally i come across older stuff thats really good and i wonder if there's a whole world of music i'm missing out on. Well known examples of what i've found so far are:

Simple Minds - A Brass Band In African Chimes
So i guess most of you guys are familiar with these tracks, but do you have any recommendations? i'd love to find more original chilled tracks with the same vibe.
