I lived in a 16th listed building in Ross on Wye in the 70's... the wall / turret in the pic below was actually my back garden :D

Aaaaanyway - just found out that my step dad (not seen him since 1981) has remarried & still has the house & has converted it to a B&B (the ground floor was an antique shop cum health food shop when he & me Mum ran it in the 70's)... mad to se my old bedroom on the net :D

Coolio Shoomington

Old buildings are cool. Our old local was a 17th century coaching inn, and had bags of character (as well as being a bit of a dilapidated old dive, lol, but less of that...) , I loved it  After it closed down, and had a compulsary purchase order, it got done up (at least to the point of safety, lol) and is now an estate agents. Makes me have a heavy heart every time I drive past it now  What a waste!

Yours looks ace, you can just picture yourself there, cosied up in front of the roaring fire quaffing a brandy cant you? At least you can still go in there and chill out, and feel homely.
Nicer to stay there than in some generic Travelodge or something :king:

As you say though, must be a bit mad seeing your old house on t'inty!

Me likes. :D :king:

lol Loz - my Mum mentioned it to me this morning - it'd be mad to go back & spend the weekend there & see me stepdad.. unsure if I'd say it was me like...

In a similar vein here's Clun - a top little village I lived in on the Welsh Marches... moved there in 1980 & can vividly remember watching the snooker being interrupted for the Iranian Emabassy seige

Clun was ace - I had my own ruined castle to muck about in
