TWA used to be residents at Vague where punchanella and various handbag tunes were played every week. They all fell out with each other a couple of years later in 96 when lezzie promoter Suzy bought them out and changed The night to Speed queen. Their best tune was called disco biscuit on higher state records - was v rare at the time as took the missus a few months to find a copy.

Nath - out of interest does that TWA comp also have Toys & Dolls - Tesko Lovers and Dynamic Base - Afrika on there as well?

As far as Punchanella goes - tune and a half. The original mix is one funky arsed groover, whilst the Air Tatto Reconstruction on the flip is a full on pumping monster - cracking tune. Something I've always wondered - Is the bass nicked off Spectrum - Brasil or was it used somewhere else before.

while these lot are being mentioned on here don't suppose anyone has the TWA essential mix from aroung 1994 time.had loads of wicked tunes on:
chapter 9 - rollercoaster
soundstation - peace & joy (the proper one)
the flavour - get your hands off my man

wouldn't mind a copy of that mix anyone, let me know :phones:
