i did go to the milk bar once!! but i was off me head mind , love those days of glam, everyone glammed up to the max and bein happy people , venus was the best did u go to the pj parties lol,. and what is mr bailey doin now i wonder? wish he'd do a venus reunion i about cried when it shut down

oh right. I never made it to venus. I went to venue 44 in mansfield though was that the same venue? I loved it. Everyone was so good to me. Angel and al mackenzie were playing

James Bailley now owns/runs the Bomb & Stealth nightclubs in Notts.
As regards to the Venus reunions- they have them from time to time in the Social bar in Notts- whenever I have been they have been on bank holidays. The best one I went to was at the bomb & it was a top night- loads of really old good tunes and good atmosphere.
no venus was in nottingham but i used to go venue 44!! its where i had me first proper dance with sasha in his tweed suit lol didnt realise it was him until i left him dancin on his own :$ lol but on first impressions he was wearin a 'tweed suit'

Can't see any reunions at the moment, but it usually goes under the name of Sound of Venus.
I've always found the bomb to have very little atmosphere and I think that Stealth has probably mopped up a lot of the acts that would have been at the Bomb. To go to the bomb I need to see a dj or djs whose reputations go before them. The last time it really rocked for me was seeing Weatherall & Radioactiveman.
Venus I liked in terms of music, but in all honesty was far too facist in terms of door policy- but each to their own.
id agree there with ya there on the atmosphere , prob cause theyre sound system is shite!! lol, i only went when sasha or alistair whitehead was on better atmosphere and hehehe cause i was on guest list otherwise feck it.
