Hi all of you
I found this site though downloading some awesome old skool tracks from 89-94 , 416 tracks in fact and i had about 60% of those already ,
I was trying always to buy the top tunes comming out that weekend £70-£100(15-20x12") evey friday in black market records and got on the decks proper around 6mths later cos apart from buying vinyl and raving it up £800 4 1210's + mixer was more than i could earn in a week and back then my money was all gone by monday mostly plus i lived down in somerset and had to drive all the way to london buy records check out whats on on a friday went to YIKES slough center i had some truly amazing times
in 89 i done sunrise{the front page one} , energy (in the aircraft hanger anyone there?) 2000ad,world dance 1 and 2 and finished the year at raindance 90 in a tent in the rain with a big screen showing a few young ladies with there partners A truely Hardcore night, it's a night i'll never forget hats off to all involved , inspired me to go to the next raindance newyears party for the next 3-4 years .

when the partys(in a feild)got stopped and yikes got closed down as some idiot stabbed and killed some dude outside ,So we started hitting kevins house on a friday in bourmouth, a top night was to be had here then on to london 4 records and clothes, spotted Amnesia in covertry in a sports center Great nights Happy memories.

Then it's sunday morning and only a 4 hour journey home listening to my mixes on a 600w sub car stereo, done that for around the next 2-3 years (those were epic wkends away and after around a year we slowed a little and done it evey 2-3 weeks with maybe just a club in between

ok that's got be one of the biggest hello's ever so i expect your either bored or uninstrested sorry it all just came flooding back

so to update i still mix today i love old skool 89-94, Jungle(drum&bass)94-00,Hardhouse,hardtrance,hard style,00-08 yep i love that

ok dude Njoi and go forward

Ps;somehow my lazer gif has somehow ended up in the smiley bit
just there----------------------->

nice 1 wibz :wave: how good was 89 ;)

Hiya dude
for me 89 was amazing i was 21 that year and i stayed 21 for the next 10 yrs
but for sure in 89 every aspect for raving was at it's best but of course that's the same for everyone whenever and wherever you first get the rave bug even for those 18 yrs old's today

i do feel sort of privileged to have been there at the start of somthing that went from strength to strength and is more massive now than any one would have been able to predict :turn: :TOP-RAVER: :turn:

Indeed wibz m8 i left school in 89 but i had been listening to the music for a few yrs prior from the electro and early chicago stuff did do a few sneaky outings in 88 but 89 for me was the yr it all took off and i really found my own, going far and wide to various events and feeling blown away by the whole explosion of the house music scene :cool: like you so very rightly say its been a priviledge and i wouldnt change my age for nobody! ;)
