Somebody was on about spyware last week - I just found out something else very intresting about Bill Gates's microsoft packages.................Quite scary really if you ever collect 'appz' etc etc.

*ALL* the information you have ever looked at, especially over the internet, and everyhing you have ever typed into your browser and address bar and every email you have ever sent anywhere (including attachments) and files you have acccessed and downloaded have all been recorded on your computer....

This is no conspiracy theory, it is proven. Clever computer programmer peeps who suss all this type of stuff out have found this *intentional* hiding of files by Microsoft. Your usual 'washer' appz dont get rid of these files!!!. It must be done via DOS, whilst windows is unbooted. I dont fully follow DOS - but Im sure gonna find out.

Obviously if youre not naughty and are not downloading programs etc you shouldnt be then youve nowt to worry about, however be aware that government agencies, police, etc are watching your every move and more....Formatting your hard disk will still not remove these files, only by dos editing them out.

Anyway, scary stories over. Just shocked me really how they get away with it thats all.........and thought it may interest at least one of you around here (well perhaps not then!!)...

WRT to the above post, the good news is that as Microsoft is collecting the information from you illegally they can't do cock all with it for the time being!

As for everyones favourite file sharing programs it was between morpheus and kazaa with morpheus the favourite due to its lack of spyware.

However morpheus has recently gone to S*** since they reprogrammed it to use the gnutella network (slow+unreliable)

fortunately for us some friendly hackers have removed all the spyware from kazaa and released it as kazaa lite!!!

It lacks the chatroom and forums (who cares!!) and most importantly all the spyware!!!

I've not tested it yet, I'm downloading it ATM (v1.6.1) and I'll let you know later if it's any good!

Sirius... are you sure you're not been reading one of those spam emails/pop-up windows trying to sell you one of those 'delete all the evidence'' proggys? j/j

I do wonder what spyware in incorporated into Windows Explorer, let's face it, if WE gave away a 'free' program to surf the web, there'd have to be something in it for us...

Use a firewall like I do, it'll tell ya straight away if anythings trying to access the web behind your back...

Hehehe. Yeah it would sound that way, but however, unfortunately not!!!!. I will be doing a bit more of checking out of all this sort of malarky I reckon. Infact, I have come accross another site which is on exactly the same topic:

Errrm soz. Musta missed it...

BTW, Im trying out OPERA instead of MSIE, its supposed to be a lot more 'open' about whats going on.

How do you use that Edonkey (java?)???, seen some stuff but dont know how to get it into the Edonkey app....

weren't having a go or owt just hoping that it might provide a solution for you..

for e donkey i'd wait a week or two, i believe it will be no more shortly and that the guys behind it are bringing out 2 different file sharer apps next week..

Cheers bud, dont fret, I just seem to go around with my eyes permanantly half shut!! :)

I hope the special links posted for the files work the same with the new apps 'cos this place moves fast, there today, gone next week!!! You know how it is!!!........I doubt they will get around to relinking everthing soon.
